Even though a Reiki training class will show you how to administer Reiki, it is impossible to impart Reiki until you have learned the proper ways. There is a wide array of ways that you can and should help heal your body, mind and soul during your Reiki healing session. Some of these are very basic and simple. Others require much more time than others, but all of them are important in helping you become an excellent Reiki healer.
Never Try To Heal Yourself During A Reiki Healing Session
The first distance healing tip is that you should never try to heal yourself during a Reiki healing session. As much as you would like to, you simply cannot put your own life or health in danger or do anything that might put your life in danger. The energy from your Reiki healing session is too powerful for you to be able to control it. It can destroy your physical body as well as your mental and emotional state if you attempt to do so.
When a Reiki healing practitioner does not feel the energy or the stress on his or her client’s body, the client does not need to ask for help. You have heard that many times, when someone is in a very dangerous or even deadly situation, they do not ask for help because they fear what they will think of them if they do not ask for it. But in a Reiki distance healing session, you have already arrived at a place where you are safer than where you started from, and the healing has already begun.
Put Under Observation By Another Practitioner
Before you can begin to heal yourself, you will probably need to be put under observation by another practitioner. This is one of the great things about Reiki distance healing sessions. You can have a practitioner of Reiki take you under surveillance and then discuss what you should do with your own body while you are being healed. During the consultation, it is important for you to keep communication open with the other practitioner.
For instance, while you are being observed by another Reiki distance practitioner, you can ask questions or make adjustments to your healing during the distance healing session. You can begin by asking what it is that is causing the pain, blockages or dis-ease. Then, you can begin to ask for the name of the energy, color or sound that is giving you the pain. When you release or accept the energy, you can begin to release or accept the things that have caused the pain.
Experience Of Beginning
In the beginning of your distance healing, you may have a hard time releasing or accepting things. This is normal, as you are new to distance healing and are still in the discovery stage. However, as your understanding of the distance healing process grows, you will find that you will be able to release the energy that is holding you back. You may find that after several distance healing sessions, you are able to do so without any assistance.
Once you have had a distance healing session, you will probably want to take a few days off from work. The stress of traveling can build up over time, and you should be allowed some time to rest and recover. As stated above, you will probably be encouraged to keep practicing Reiki on a daily basis after your first session. However, this does not mean that you must do so. In fact, the more you practice, the more you will learn and the better you will become at using Reiki on yourself and others. Remember that the important thing is to enjoy your first experience with distance healing.
